Specialization "Information and Communication Technologies"

The specialization “Information and Communication Technologies” provides fundamental theoretical and applied practical training in the general program of knowledge “Electronics and Telecommunications”, specialty “Telecommunications and Radio Engineering” at three levels of higher education: bachelor, master, doctor of philosophy.

The specialization is aimed at acquiring graduates of special knowledge from:

  • designing heterogeneous hardware and software platforms that provide up-to-date Internet services and services at any time and place, operate in a global environment;
  • designing “cloud” (software-defined) data centers in combination with modern 3G, 4G and 5G communication networks;
  • creation and use of the latest IoT (Internet of Things) technologies, as well as building information and communication systems based on them;
  • design of software and hardware platforms, data processing units, intellectual means of their interaction;
  • creation of energy-efficient intelligent protocols and means of parallel, collective processing of large amounts of information in data center nodes, application of “cloud resources and services”.

The Bachelor’s level provides the graduates with competencies in the theoretical foundations of building, debugging, administering, controlling and diagnosing the status, information and communication infrastructure of telecom operators and ISPs.

  The Master’s level provides for the acquisition of competencies for the improvement, design and creation of hardware and software infrastructure, heterogeneous Intranet-based environments, “cloud” technologies in combination with modern 3G, 4G and 5G communication networks.

      The PhD level provides for the acquisition of competencies in research, search and forecasting of information and communication technology development, creation and implementation of technologies of pervasive computing, IoT, BigData.

  Collaboration with leading software developers, including Microsoft, Ericsson, EPAM, Huawei, Nokia Corporation, as well as telecom operators and ISPs, adapts our alumni to work in both companies and enterprises :

  • information and communication technologies;
  • software platforms and services;
  • databases;
  • repositories of information;
  • data centers;
  • calculations in the global environment in administrative positions;

They study: technologies, languages ​​and programming tools, building hardware and software platforms for obtaining Internet services and services, approaches to creating, administering and maintaining software and hardware infrastructure of telecommunication operators, Internet service providers, elements of a heterogeneous Internet-based environment, Intranet, “cloud” technologies in combination with modern 3G, 4G and 5G-communication networks to provide high-quality customer service, IoT (Internet of Things) technology, organization of information interconnection Action Communications.

You can work: in data centers and software services of international and domestic telecommunication companies, in the structure of the IT operator, the companies of the mobile operator, in the IT companies that use software-defining basic networks, provide communication services and the Internet, in specialist software developers, in the technical departments of banks and organizations of different ownerships using network technologies.
