IEEE BlackSeaCom conferences are held annually in the countries surrounding the Black Sea. Despite its regional nature, it brings together and brings together researchers and electronic engineers from around the world. This forum discusses the most pressing issues that are being worked on by specialists in the field of telecommunications and networks. Here, scientists present their vision of the prospects for the development of the industry, here they acquaint colleagues with the results of their research, here they establish contacts, which are then useful in working on tasks that require collective efforts to solve.
The name of the conference contains the letters IEEE. This is the abbreviated name of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) – a global organization that has existed for over a century and unites about 400,000 engineers and researchers from more than 160 countries. This name speaks for itself, because it is known all over the world and testifies to the high professional quality of events held under the leadership of the organization.
This year, the Eighth International Black Sea Conference on Communications and Networks IEEE BlackSeeCom 2020 was to be held in Odessa. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the organizers were forced to conduct it in cyberspace. But this did not prevent its participants for three days to consider and discuss reports and reports on the most relevant areas of telecommunications and networks, dedicated to the problems of creating effective architectures of global digital spaces, cloud communications and data center networks, optical networks and systems, mobile and wireless , 5G systems and their components, molecular and nanoscale communications, satellite and space communications, big data and machine learning for communications, the Internet of Things, security and privacy of telecommunications, etc.
